Mama Chirp came into ARF’s care in a hurry and very pregnant. An accident brought on her labour and she gave birth to very tiny babies. Despite her young age she lovingly cared for them and they have become healthy and happy kittens.
A very tiny girl herself, Chirp has begun to put on weight and fill out. When anyone goes to the kitchen she runs to give a chirp or two in hopes of a treat! Chirp has spent the last two months keeping her little brood in order. As a result, it has taken time for her to learn to be a kitten and play. She is learning to chase the laser light and likes a good roll with a catnip pillow. Her favourite thing is to lie at the deck door and watch a chipmunk who cavorts around the bbq almost daily. Chirp often falls asleep in the sun watching this little creature who taunts her. Almost feral when she came in, Chirp has learned to trust her foster parents and the grandchildren. She welcomes pats and ear scratches and has begun to climb up on the sofa for a cuddle in the evenings. She has learned that humans are okay and is showing her loving side often now.
Chirp has tested negative for FIV and has been treated for fleas and parasites. She has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Despite spending the first part of her life outside, Chirp readily learned to use her litter box like a pro. To apply to adopt this sweet girl, please click on the ‘adopt me’ button, below.
