Introducing Nola, a smart and active beauty with a very loving spirit.  She is a bundle of energy who has made very good progress in foster care directing her energy in appropriate ways and learning to wait patiently when things are just too exciting!  Nola is very food motivated and responds well to praise.  Reward-based positive training is well received, fun and a great way to provide Nola with the mental stimulation she craves.

Nola lives in a busy foster home with multiple canines and adults.  She thoroughly enjoys the company of doggy friends and is looking for a forever home with another active and playful canine to match her boisterous and on-going play style.  She prefers larger dogs, as she has decided that small canines and cats are not her cup of tea.
Humans also rank at the top of Nola’s list of favourites. She loves nothing more than cuddling with her foster family on the couch or snuggling on the bed.  Nola is still learning to keep “all four on the floor” when meeting new people on walks and outings, but liver treats and staying focused on foster mom are helping to reinforce good greeting manners.
Nola is house trained and associates her crate as a great place to be when her humans are away for a few hours or when she needs some quiet time.  She knows that chew toys or a stuffed Kong equals enjoyable and relaxing alone time in her own space.  Nola walks very well on a lead and has great recall when off leash in safe and secure areas.  She enjoys car rides, swimming and exploring all the sights and smells in new and varied environments.  Nola loves all that life has to offer!

Nola will be a wonderful addition to an active, dog-savvy home.  Due to her energy level, she is best suited to a family with teenage or older children who have the time to commit to her on-going positive training.  Nola has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and has received heartworm preventative.  She is ready and excited to find her lucky forever home!  To apply to meet Nola, click on the ‘Adopt-me’ button below.
