Endorsed Trainers
Endorsed Trainers
ARF is a group of volunteers that endeavors to provide the best care possible or our rescues during their time in foster care AND after they are adopted.
One of the ways in which we have reduced the revolving door syndrome of returned dogs is to REQUIRE all adopters to attend training classes, or attend a private training session on a case by case approval basis through ARF.
If a dog is adopted in the London, Ontario, AREA, training classes are INCLUDED in the adoption fee. However, please note there is VERY limited space with these trainers, and your wait time may be extensive.
Element Canine, and Capable Canines are our trainers of choice in the London and Kitchener/Waterloo areas.
If a dog is adopted by families that live too far away to attend weekly classes with Awesome Dogs or Capable Canines, training classes at the adopter’s expense are a mandatory requirement of a canine adoption. Below is a list of facilities that ARF volunteers have researched and shown to endorse and practice the form of training ARF endorses: positive reinforcement.
